When are you open?

Our opening times do vary, please see the Home page for current opening times. 

 

What are the entry fees?

For adults the entry fee is $5, children under 12 years free if accompanied by an adult.

 

Are there toilet facilities?

Yes, we have public toilets on the premises, please ask the museum volunteer on the desk for directions.

 

Do you have parking?

Parking is street parking at the front and back of the museum buildings. 

Is the museum fully accessible?

The museum is wheelchair accessible at the side of the building and all connecting buildings have ramps for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

 

Do you have EFTPOS/card payment facilities?

Yes, you can pay by cash, debit and credit cards.

 

Are dogs allowed?

Only guide dogs are allowed in the museum.

 

Can I take photos?

You can take photos for personal use only, not for commercial purposes. This means images cannot be used in advertising or product promotion which incorporates a financial transaction. To request images and rights for commercial use, please contact us.

Can I donate items?

Yes, we will gratefully accept items that are culturally and historically significant to the collections in the museum.

 

Do you have local family history records?

Yes, we have an extensive range of local records and volunteers who are able to help find any research records you are interested in. Please contact us with any specific questions you may have.

 

Do you run school or group tours?

Yes, we are very happy to accommodate groups.

 

Do you have a shop?

We have a small variety of souvenirs and locally made gifts to take home as a momento of your visit!
